The design scope here was huge, to say the least. My assistant Bridget Capriotti and I handled the guest room and craft room, while the local construction team led by John Giarusso took on the cavernous, unfinished space that would become the game room. John and his team brought in HVAC, poured new concrete for the floor, framed, insulated and rocked the walls, and added a drop ceiling with lighting and electrical outlets throughout. It was a tremendous amount of work and completed in three and half days. In a huge snow storm, by the way. Bridget and I fell asleep on the floor of the new guest bath during the frigid storm, just to get the job done. Isn’t TV life so glamorous?
